Job summary

OpenTrain AI, Inc. is seeking a remote, part-time contractor to create and modify OpenSCAD-based 2D and 3D CAD models for AI training. The role emphasizes parametric, script-driven modeling and clear explanations of CAD workflows to help AI systems understand design processes.

You must have strong OpenSCAD expertise, document steps, and communicate technically in English (B2+). A portfolio of OpenSCAD work is preferred.

Qualifications

Strong professional experience with OpenSCAD and parametric, script-based 3D modeling.
Understanding of OpenSCAD syntax, modules, functions, and Boolean operations.
Access to OpenSCAD and the ability to record your screen while completing tasks.
Strong technical communication skills.
English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

Create accurate and complex CAD models in OpenSCAD.
Build parametric models using scripts, loops, reusable modules, functions, and OpenSCAD syntax.
Use Boolean operations, transformations, and extrusion techniques.
Troubleshoot modeling problems and improve CAD designs.
Complete advanced OpenSCAD tasks and explain each workflow step by step.
Write clear instructions and detailed prompts for CAD modeling workflows.
