HUMAN-AI-Z Nexus Technology is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure on a contract basis. The role is remote and offers hourly compensation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data reliability and accessibility for analytics and operations.

The candidate will work with SQL, Python/Scala, and modern data tooling like Airflow and Spark, leveraging cloud data services to enable scalable analytics.

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL, Python, or Scala for data engineering tasks.
• Proficiency with data pipeline tools like Airflow, Spark, or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their data services.
• Familiarity with data modeling, warehousing concepts, and schema design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into target systems.
• Implement and maintain ETL/ELT processes to support data warehousing and analytics initiatives.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all data assets and systems.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
