Job summary

Unchain Data is seeking a seasoned professional to run operations for its institutional trading clients, including market makers, funds, and asset managers. You will structure liquidity arrangements, model the impact of fee changes, and lead post-launch reviews to optimize revenue and client experience.

You will work with analytics to surface opportunities from large Trading datasets, collaborate with engineering on latency and API integrations, and own the client reporting layer to track volume

Qualifications

• Several years in market maker operations, institutional client operations, trading operations, or exchange analytics.
• Real exposure to professional counterparties: market makers, funds, asset managers.
• Hands-on analytics using SQL, Excel modelling, and Tableau or similar.
• Understanding of maker/taker economics, rebates, and order book liquidity metrics.
• Experience turning a spreadsheet into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
• Fluent English; Mandarin is a plus for client mix.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations for professional trading clients — market makers, hedge funds, asset managers, prop firms, brokers.
• Structure liquidity arrangements and maker/taker rebate and incentive schemes, and manage launch and post-launch reviews.
• Model the commercial impact of fee and incentive changes before they go live and measure outcomes.
• Track how competing venues price and incentivize, advising on positioning strategy.
• Own the reporting layer for institutional performance: volume, liquidity contribution, revenue by account.
• Process large trading datasets to surface accounts worth pursuing and pass insights to the commercial team.
• Collaborate with engineering on colocation, API, and latency support for latency-sensitive clients.
