Job summary

RemoteJobsOne is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist for a fully remote contractor role based in the United Arab Emirates. You will set up and operate CNC machines, interpret engineering drawings, and collaborate with CAM programmers to optimize part production in a remote-friendly environment.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of hands-on CNC experience, strong proficiency with Haas VF-2 and hobbyist platforms, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience.
• Expertise operating Haas control systems (VF-2 or similar).
• Familiarity with hobbyist/desktop CNC platforms (Makera Carvera) strongly preferred.
• Proven proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, and use of advanced measurement tools.
• Experience working with a range of materials, including metals and plastics.
• Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills for clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines across multiple platforms, including desktop and industrial models.
• Load and verify CNC programs, install tooling, configure work-holding, and set work offsets for various projects.
• Run first-piece cycles, inspect machined parts against drawings, and adjust setups for dimensional accuracy.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and diagnose issues such as tool wear, chatter, or drift.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to validate parts and ensure specifications.
• Interpret drawings, GD&T callouts, and documentation to guide production.
• Collaborate with CAM programmers and stakeholders on setup optimization.
