Job summary

Halian is seeking an Associate DevOps Engineer for a fully remote, contract engagement. You will manage Azure cloud infrastructure, support containerized workloads in Kubernetes, and build CI/CD pipelines to enhance software delivery.

The role emphasizes observability with Datadog and IaC-driven automation. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in DevOps/Platform roles, strong Azure and Kubernetes experience, and hands-on CI/CD tooling knowledge (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud infrastructure management.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins).
• Experience working with Git and version control best practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure environments.
• Deploy, monitor, and support containerized applications using Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.
• Monitor platform performance, availability, and security using Datadog.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve deployment processes and operational efficiency.
• Support infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident management activities.
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability and security best practices are followed.
• Contribute to platform engineering initiatives and internal developer tooling.
