Job summary

Mashreq in the United Arab Emirates seeks an accomplished Chartered Accountant to lead regulatory reporting for UAE and overseas jurisdictions. The role ensures accurate, timely submissions and strong governance across Basel standards, CAR, LCR and NSFR while driving data quality and automation initiatives.

You will coordinate with Finance, Risk, Compliance, and external auditors to support examinations, implement control improvements, and advance AI-enabled reporting across the bank.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant with 13-15 years in banking regulatory reporting, finance control, or related functions.
• Experience dealing with regulators, auditors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience in large banking environments with complex regulatory needs.
• Knowledge of prudential regulations, capital adequacy, liquidity reporting, and governance.
• Exposure to reporting automation, analytics, or AI-enabled reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee regulatory reporting for UAE and overseas branches and regulatory bodies.
• Drive timely resolution of reporting issues and audit observations.
• Coordinate with Finance, Risk, Treasury, Operations, Compliance, Technology, and regulators to ensure data integrity.
• Support automation, digitization, and AI initiatives to improve efficiency and data quality.
• Review and enhance reporting methodologies, mapping logic, and controls to meet regulatory expectations.
• Support regulatory examinations and governance forums with timely reporting analyses.
