Job summary

Al-Futtaim Health is seeking a Registered Nurse with strong pediatric, emergency, and urgent care experience for our Dubai outpatient clinic. You will assess children and adults, perform venepuncture and IV cannulation, and support physicians across multiple specialties in a high-volume setting.

The role requires a DHA license, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of professional nursing experience in pediatrics or urgent care. Fluency in English is essential; Arabic or Tagalog is preferred.

Responsibilities

Role Context

The Registered Nurse plays a central clinical role in maintaining safe and efficient patient flow within a high-volume outpatient environment. The position requires particular confidence when caring for children, managing difficult venous access, supporting urgent presentations, and identifying patients who require immediate escalation. Strong technical nursing skills must be combined with calm communication, accurate clinical documentation, and close coordination with physicians and multidisciplinary colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to adults and children attending the outpatient clinic.
• Support physicians during consultations, examinations, minor procedures, and treatment activities.
• Assess patients on arrival and identify clinical priorities through structured observation and triage.
• Record vital signs, clinical observations, symptoms, and relevant patient information accurately.
• Perform venepuncture and blood collection for adult and pediatric patients.
• Manage difficult venous access using appropriate clinical techniques and patient-centered communication.
• Perform peripheral IV cannulation safely while following infection prevention and clinical protocols.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, treatments, and clinical procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing standards.
• Recognize deterioration or urgent clinical concerns and elevate immediately to the appropriate physician or emergency support.
• Assist with emergency and urgent care presentations while maintaining patient safety and appropriate documentation.
• Support pediatric consultations and procedures with sensitivity to the needs of children and their families.
• Use age-appropriate techniques to reduce anxiety during blood collection, cannulation, and clinical interventions.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and health promotion.
• Maintain accurate and complete electronic medical records after each patient interaction.
• Follow DHA requirements, infection control procedures, medication safety standards, and clinic protocols.
• Maintain clinical equipment and treatment areas in a safe and ready condition.
• Participate in continuing nursing education, competency development, and quality improvement activities.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Contribute to efficient patient flow during busy clinic periods without compromising clinical quality or safety.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor 's Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• Valid DHA Registered Nurse license.
• Valid Basic Life Support certification.
• Minimum 2 years of professional nursing experience.
• Practical experience in Pediatrics, Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or outpatient medical centers.
• Strong pediatric blood collection and venepuncture skills.
• Demonstrated competence in IV cannulation.
• Confidence managing difficult venous access.
• Experience assessing patients and recognizing signs requiring clinical escalation.
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently during emergency or urgent presentations.
• Strong communication skills when supporting children, parents, and adult patients.
• Fluent English communication.
• Arabic or Tagalog language ability is highly preferred.
• Previous UAE healthcare experience is advantageous.
• PALS certification is preferred.
• Emergency nursing experience is an advantage.
• Experience in a high-volume outpatient clinic is highly desirable.
• Strong computer literacy and practical experience using electronic medical record systems.
