Job summary

SGS in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Senior Procurement Leader to define and execute the Middle East procurement strategy aligned with global standards. You will lead regional sourcing, negotiations, and supplier governance across multiple sectors including TIC, engineering, and industrial services.

The role emphasizes cost optimization, risk management, and strong stakeholder collaboration to deliver value while maintaining quality and continuity of supply.

Qualifications

• 15 years of progressive procurement experience including regional leadership
• Experience in TIC, Engineering, Industrial Services, Manufacturing, Energy, Oil & Gas or multinational organizations preferred
• Strong commercial acumen and contract negotiation skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and change management capabilities

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including market analysis, supplier evaluation, RFQs/RFPs, negotiations and contract awards.
• Develop category sourcing strategies for indirect procurement (facilities, laboratory equipment, fleet, professional services, subcontractors, CAPEX).
• Deliver measurable cost savings while maintaining quality, service and business continuity.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key regional and global suppliers; monitor performance via KPIs and SLAs.
• Collaborate with Legal to ensure contractual compliance and governance; manage regional procurement spend and budgeting/forecasting.
