Job summary

Hapag-Lloyd AG is seeking a Head of Controlling for the Middle East, Africa and India region, reporting to the CFO. The role oversees budgeting, forecasting, monthly closing, and management reporting across Terminal, Transport, S&D, overhead, and D&D revenue, partnering with Operations and senior leadership.

The incumbent will own the regional controlling cycle, drive efficiency, and deliver financial narratives for Board-level and HQ reporting, supported by advanced Excel and Power BI

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of progressive experience in Controlling, FP&A, or Finance Business Partnering.
• Experience in shipping, port, or logistics industry preferred with understanding of operations.
• Proven track record managing full budget and forecast cycles in multinational environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting for regional operational costs, overhead, FTE, and D&D revenue.
• Own end-to-end monthly closing and accrual management in SAP S/4HANA.
• Prepare monthly Controlling Pack and variance analyses for senior management.
• Drive cost-control initiatives and partner with Operations to translate financial data to actionable insight.
