Job summary

AL ETIHAD GOLD is seeking a skilled Chemist to perform chemical analysis, monitor reactions in refinery reactors, and ensure the quality and consistency of refinery processes and products.

You will work with sampling, analytical techniques, and strict safety standards, maintaining records for traceability and quality control. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in chemistry and at least 2 years of related experience, with strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in a chemical/ refinery context.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good documentation, reporting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work safely with laboratory chemicals and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control chemical reactions within refinery reactors per SOPs, process parameters, QC standards and quality management systems.
• Conduct sampling and chemical analysis of reactor feed, reaction mixtures, intermediates, and outputs to ensure specs.
• Monitor reactor/process parameters (temperature, pressure, pH, concentration, time, composition) for stable operations.
• Verify and calculate quantities, concentrations, ratios, and dosing of raw materials, chemicals, catalysts, and additives.
• Assist in charging, dosing, mixing, and transfer of chemicals into reactors per procedures and safety requirements.
• Identify and communicate quality issues or deviations to QC Manager, Refinery Supervisor, or relevant authority.
• Maintain records of additions, reactor parameters, sampling, test results, and operations for traceability.
