Role Overview

We are looking for a Referral Program Director who will build and scale one of the most important growth engines of the company. You will own the full strategy, design, and execution of referral programs across multiple markets, starting with Africa. This includes customer referrals, agent-led referrals, partner referrals, and digital in-app referral journeys.

Your mission: turn referrals into a major, predictable revenue driver.

What You Will Do
  • Strategy & Design
  • Build a multi-layer referral strategy aligned with our device-financing business.
  • Define referral mechanics, incentives, rules, and anti-fraud logic.
  • Develop a playbook for multi-market expansion.
  • Launch and run referral programs across digital apps and physical channels (shops, agents).
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product, and Risk to ensure seamless daily execution.
  • Drive referral adoption among agents and partners.
  • Track performance through dashboards: conversion, CAC savings, virality, fraud levels.
  • Run A/B tests and continuous improvements.
  • Present insights and growth recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Build and manage a referral operations and analytics team.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment and ensure programs run smoothly at scale.
Who You Are
  • 10+ years in growth, referral/affiliate programs, or digital acquisition (fintech or consumer tech preferred).
  • Experience in emerging markets (Africa a strong plus).
  • Skilled in analytics, optimization, and growth mechanics.
  • Strong leadership, cross-functional communication, and execution discipline.
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
