Job summary

Tractebel in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Mechanical Engineering portfolio lead for the Power Substation project (400kV/220kV/132kV). You will oversee design and construction supervision across FPS, HVAC, MEP, and lifting equipment, coordinating with the client TRANSCO and managing interfaces.

You will supervise site activities, ensure conformance with approved designs, plan inspections, and drive closeout and quantity verifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience on 400kV/220kV/132kV substation projects is essential.
• Ability to supervise FPS, HVAC, MEP, and lifting equipment on site.

• Monitor construction to ensure conformity with approved design and clearance of non-conformance.
• Plan, organize, and supervise engineering and construction inspection activities.

Job description

Manage the Mechanical Engineering portfolio of the Power Substation (400kV / 220kV / 132kV) project including the Technical, HSE and Financial performance of the projects during design and construction supervision for FPS, HVAC, MEP, Lifting Equipment's etc. The work will involve the site supervision/management of complex technical works of the Client (TRANSCO), alongside the management of customer interfaces.

• Monitor that construction strictly follows approved design, reporting and clearance of non-conformance.
• Planning, organizing, and supervision of engineering and construction inspection activities.
• Do closeout and verification of installed quantities.
