Job summary

SEGULA Technologies in the UAE is seeking an experienced Material Engineer to support a major railway infrastructure project, covering Civil and MEP works. You will manage material submittals, review technical documentation, and coordinate approvals to meet project specifications and schedules.

The role requires a Civil or Materials Engineering degree and 7+ years of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of international standards, testing requirements, and cross‑functional collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Materials Engineering required.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in major construction/infrastructure projects.
• Experience in railway projects involving Civil and/or MEP works.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate material submittals and approval processes for railway Civil and MEP works.
• Review material specifications, datasheets, certificates, and manufacturers' documentation.
• Ensure proposed materials comply with project specs and international standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers and manufacturers to secure approvals.
• Review material testing requirements, inspection reports, and supporting documentation.
• Identify and resolve material-related discrepancies and non-compliance issues.
• Monitor submission status and maintain material submittal registers.
• Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to align with schedules.
• Support technical evaluations of proposed materials and alternatives.
• Escalate material approval delays to minimize impact on construction.
