Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer - Civil Works for a major rail/high-speed rail infrastructure project in the UAE. The role focuses on underground station construction, technical coordination, design review, and site delivery.

With a minimum of eight years in civil/site engineering, you will review designs, supervise construction, and coordinate interfaces across disciplines to ensure quality and compliance on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in civil engineering/site engineering.
• Experience in tunnel, underground, or major infrastructure construction preferred.
• Strong experience in design review, construction supervision, and technical coordination.
• Rail or High-Speed Rail experience highly desirable.
• UAE/Middle East experience advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of civil/structural drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide civil engineering support for civil and infrastructure works.
• Review civil design submissions, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Support construction supervision and resolve site-based technical queries and issues.
• Coordinate civil interfaces with structural, MEP, rail systems, and other disciplines.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with approved designs, specifications, and project standards.
• Prepare technical comments, reports, RFIs, and other engineering documentation.
• Liaise with contractors, designers, consultants, and project stakeholders to resolve technical and interface issues.
• Support inspections and ensure quality and engineering requirements are maintained during construction.
