Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Associate Architecture to join the rail team within our Building Engineering practice in Dubai. The Senior Associate will advance the design philosophy, lead design concepts, and supervise technical development across projects.

You will oversee timelines and budgets, coordinate with structural, mechanical and electrical engineers, and ensure designs meet local codes and regulatory requirements while guiding designers and subconsultants to successful delivery.

Qualifications

• B. Arch or Master in Architecture or equivalent.
• RIBA Part 2 equivalent.
• Local Authority Architect registration preferred.
• 14 years experience with exposure to rail or metro projects as an Architectural Lead.

Responsibilities

• Present design concepts progress updates and project outcomes to clients and stakeholders.
• Oversee project timelines budgets and deliverables to ensure successful completion.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate design solutions including structural mechanical and electrical engineers.
• Ensure designs comply with local building codes regulations and zoning laws.
• Directs and coordinates other designers in the consultant team and any appointed specialist designers.
• Responsible for making technical decisions regarding the resolution of interfaces/disagreements between disciplines.
• Leads the technical coordination of specialist subconsultants including the GDC / other AECOM offices and external subconsultants.
• Responsible for managing deployment to ensure that services are completed within the architectural discipline budget for all stages of the project including change when it occurs.
• Provides information for preparing cost information value engineering and project strategies.
• Maintains quality of work by adhering to quality occupational health and safety and corporate standards.

Education

B. Arch or Master in Architecture or equivalent

RIBA Part 2 equivalent

Local Authority Architect registration preferred
