Job summary

EDGE is seeking a senior hardware design engineer to create electronic hardware for radar subsystems, covering analog, digital, mixed-signal, and high-speed interfaces. You will translate requirements into robust architectures, verify designs, and support testability and production readiness.

The role requires 5+ years in high-reliability hardware design, strong PCB, SI/PI, EMC/EMI considerations, and hands-on lab instrument proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Eng., Electrical Eng., or related discipline.
• 5+ years of hardware design and development experience in high-reliability environments such as aerospace/defense.
• Strong background in analog and digital electronics, schematic capture, component selection, and hardware debugging.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum/network analyzers, power supplies, etc.).
• Familiarity with PCB development, high-speed design constraints, EMC/EMI, and design for manufacturing/test.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic hardware assemblies for radar subsystems, including analog, digital, mixed-signal, power conditioning, control, synchronization, and high-speed interfaces.
• Translate requirements into robust hardware architectures, schematics, and design docs.
• Support PCB layout with focus on signal integrity, thermal, EMC/EMI, manufacturability, and testability.
• Perform hardware bring-up, verification, debugging, and root-cause analysis with standard lab instruments.
• Collaborate with RF, antenna, FPGA, embedded software, mechanical, and systems teams for integrated hardware assemblies.
• Plan and execute verification, validation, qualification, and environmental tests.
• Support design reviews, configuration control, non-conformance investigations, and CAPA actions across product lifecycle.
• Contribute to industrialization and production support, including design improvements and obsolescence management.
