Job summary

PULSE, the joint venture between EDGE and INDRA, seeks a Radar Systems Engineer in Abu Dhabi to lead advanced radar design and integration for defense applications.

You will model, analyze, and qualify systems across MIL-STD standards, overseeing lab and field testing and collaborations with multidisciplinary teams.

Strong Matlab/Simulink, Python, and radar test equipment experience required, with 5+ years in radar engineering and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in radar system engineering/design.
• Hands-on experience with radar test equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes).
• Solid background in modelling tools (Matlab/Simulink, Python, ADS, CST).
• Strong communication skills and ability to represent the company in technical reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead radar system design activities, covering architecture definition (Pulsed, FMCW, AESA), signal/data processing, and RF and antenna specifications.
• Perform system modelling and performance analysis using Matlab/Simulink, Python or radar simulation tools.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical consistency across the radar system and comply with defense engineering standards (MIL-STD).
• Execute hardware/software integration, testing and qualification in lab and field environments, using processional RF and measurement equipment.
• Support validation campaigns, troubleshoot system issues at all levels, and contribute to documentation, design reviews, and customer-facing technical discussions.

The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of high-performance radar capabilities, supporting the full engineering lifecycle from modelling and analysis through integration, qualification, and customer technical engagements, while ensuring compliance with stringent defense and industry standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead radar system design activities, covering architecture definition (Pulsed, FMCW, AESA), signal/data processing, and RF and antenna specifications.
