Job summary

Halliburton Energy Services in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced technician to diagnose, repair, and calibrate down-hole tool electronics and surface equipment used in LWD/MWD operations.

You will coordinate maintenance activities, mentor junior staff, and may train others on lifecycle or legacy tool lines. A technical school certificate and 3+ years of relevant experience are required, with an associate degree or higher preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a technical school certificate or equivalent, and at least 3 years of relevant experience in equipment repair/maintenance.
• Associate degree or higher is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, perform maintenance, calibrations, and inspections on down-hole tool electronics and surface equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance, repair and calibration activities for LWD down-hole tools.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced technicians and train tool technicians.
• Train-the-trainer capability for lifecycle or legacy tool lines.
• Ensure duties are performed safely, efficiently, and effectively; contribute to equipment improvement evaluations.

Job Duties

Under general supervision, performs diagnoses, repairs, preventive maintenance, calibration, and inspections on down-hole tool electronics and other equipment used in the application for down-hole tools, including Directional/ RSS and/or M/LWD sensors. Coordinates the activities involved in maintenance, repair, and calibration of LWD down-hole tool electronics and surface equipment. Promotes services excellence and customer satisfaction. Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced repair and maintenance personnel and trains and assists tool technicians. Can be a Train the Trainer to provide training on lifecycle or legacy tool lines. Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. Assists in making evaluations and recommendations for improvements on equipment, based on maintenance history. Areas of specialization may include: Mechanical aptitude, electronics aptitude, computer skills, assembly and disassembly of Measure While Drilling and/or Logging While Drilling down-hole tools. Requires a technical school certificate, or equivalent, and a minimum of three years relevant experience in equipment repair and maintenance. An associate degree or higher is preferred.
