Job summary

Halliburton in Abu Dhabi is looking for an experienced technician to diagnose, repair, calibrate and inspect down-hole tool electronics and related surface equipment. You will lead maintenance efforts, promote service excellence and mentor junior inspectors while adhering to safety standards.

Requires a technical school certificate (or equivalent) with at least three years of relevant repair experience; an associate degree or higher is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher is preferred for advancement.
• Experience with down-hole tool electronics and surface equipment is essential.
• Strong mechanical and electronics aptitude with computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance, repair and calibration activities and ensure safety and efficiency.
• Provide guidance and mentor to less experienced repair personnel and train technicians.
• Support lifecycle improvements based on maintenance history.

Job Duties

Under general supervision, performs diagnoses, repairs, preventive maintenance, calibration, and inspections on down-hole tool electronics and other equipment used in the application for down-hole tools, including Directional/ RSS and/or M/LWD sensors. Coordinates the activities involved in maintenance, repair, and calibration of LWD down-hole tool electronics and surface equipment. Promotes services excellence and customer satisfaction. Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced repair and maintenance personnel and trains and assists tool technicians. Can be a Train the Trainer to provide training on lifecycle or legacy tool lines. Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. Assists in making evaluations and recommendations for improvements on equipment, based on maintenance history. Areas of specialization may include: Mechanical aptitude, electronics aptitude, computer skills, assembly and disassembly of Measure While Drilling and/or Logging While Drilling down-hole tools. Requires a technical school certificate, or equivalent, and a minimum of three years relevant experience in equipment repair and maintenance. An associate degree or higher is preferred.
