Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment use and maintenance is essential.
• Excellent problem solving skills with attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is important.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on chemical reactions to develop new products or processes.
• Analyze samples using methods such as spectrophotometry, chromatography, or electrophoresis.
• Prepare reports on research results and present to management.
• Develop quality control procedures for production of various chemicals.
• Test properties of chemicals to ensure they meet industry standards.
• Monitor safety protocols in the laboratory and ensure employees adhere to them.
