Job summary

Drake & Scull International is seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to support commercial control of MEP works from measurement through payment, variation and subcontractor administration. The role requires close collaboration with project, planning and commercial teams to ensure accurate quantities and timely payment applications.

The ideal candidate holds a Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related engineering, with 5+ years of MEP experience and strong knowledge of FIDIC

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or related engineering field.
• 5+ years of MEP QS experience in contracting projects.
• Knowledge of measurement standards and payment processes.
• Experience with MEP quantities and subcontractor billing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify MEP quantities from drawings, BOQs, site progress and approved records.
• Support interim payment applications, variations, change records, claims support and cost reporting.
• Review subcontractor measurements, payment certificates, variation submissions and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, planning, procurement and commercial teams to track progress and cost impact.
• Maintain quantity records, measurement sheets, variation logs, subcontractor logs and commercial backup documents.
• Assist in procurement comparisons, material take-offs and cost analysis for MEP packages.
• Support close-out of final accounts and commercial handover documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications:

About You

• Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of MEP quantity surveying experience in contracting projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP drawings, BOQ measurement, payment applications, variations and subcontractor billing.
• Good knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection quantities.
• Strong Excel, documentation, commercial reporting and coordination skills.
• Ability to work with site and commercial teams under strict submission deadlines.
• Knowledge of FIDIC conditions, CESMM/POMI or relevant measurement standards.
• Experience using Candy, CostX, ERP or similar commercial systems.
