Job summary

Meraki Group is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project quantities, cost estimation, measurements, variations and commercial documentation for façade and construction projects.

You will prepare BOQ, cost estimates and rate analyses, review drawings, monitor costs and prepare interim payments, valuations and final accounts, coordinating with Estimation, Procurement, Engineering, Project and Finance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in façade, aluminium, glass or building construction.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ, quantity take-off, rate analysis, variations and claims.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings; proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and material measurements from drawings and specifications.
• Review architectural, structural, shop drawings and project specifications.
• Prepare BOQ, cost estimates, rate analysis and quantity calculations.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and commercial commitments.
• Prepare and evaluate variation orders and claims.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotations and compare commercial offers.
• Prepare interim payment applications, valuations and final accounts.
• Coordinate with Estimation, Procurement, Engineering, Project and Finance teams.
• Track material quantities, wastage and project requirements.
• Verify site measurements and ensure quantities are accurately recorded.
• Maintain proper commercial records, contracts and supporting documents.
• Assist in tender preparation and commercial negotiations.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project requirements.
• Prepare regular cost reports and commercial updates for management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in façade, aluminium, glass or building construction.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ, quantity take-off, rate analysis, variations and claims.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel; knowledge of QS/estimation software is an advantage.
• Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred.
