Job summary

DSCA Building Contracting is seeking a competent Quantity Surveyor for high-rise building projects in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on cost control, detailed BOQs, and accurate cost estimation across the project lifecycle.

You will monitor budgets, prepare interim payments, and support final accounts, working with procurement and construction teams to ensure commercial success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 3+ years in quantity surveying on high-rise projects; 4+ preferred.
• Strong knowledge of BOQs, take-offs, cost estimation, variations.
• Experience in residential and commercial construction mandatory.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, and QS software.
• Familiar with construction contracts, preferably FIDIC.
• UAE main contracting experience preferred.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
• Immediate joiners preferred.

Responsibilities

DSCA Building Contracting is seeking a competent and experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial and cost management activities of our high-rise building construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate must possess strong technical knowledge of building construction, quantity take-offs, cost estimation and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs Bills of Quantities BOQs and detailed cost estimates based on project drawings and specifications
• Monitor project budgets construction costs and material quantities throughout project execution
• Prepare and review interim payment applications subcontractor valuations and payment certifications
• Evaluate variations additional works and associated cost implications
• Assist in preparing tender documents cost comparisons and subcontractor evaluations
• Coordinate with procurement technical and construction teams to ensure effective cost control
• Prepare monthly cost reports and financial progress updates
• Maintain accurate commercial records and supporting documentation for contractual claims
• Support the preparation of final accounts and project cost reconciliation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant quantity surveying experience in high-rise building construction; 4+ years preferred.
• Strong knowledge of BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and variations.
• Experience in residential and commercial building construction is mandatory.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and relevant quantity surveying software.
• Familiarity with construction contracts, preferably FIDIC.
• Previous UAE main contracting experience is preferred.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
• Immediate joiners are preferred.

Important: Proven experience in building construction, particularly high-rise projects, is mandatory. Candidates whose experience is limited to infrastructure projects will not be considered.
