Job summary

Brunel International is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to oversee cost control and commercial activities on oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. You will estimate costs, administer contracts, assess risks, and ensure projects stay within budget and schedule.

We require a Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline, proven oil & gas QS experience, and strong negotiation/communication skills; RICS/CIOB is a plus. Travel to site locations is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in oil and gas.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of oil and gas projects from inception through completion.
• Perform cost estimation, contract administration, risk assessment, and budget control.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and clients to ensure on-time delivery.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and financial reports.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Key Responsibilities

• As a Quantity Surveyor at Brunel International you will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of oil and gas projects from inception through completion
• Your duties will include cost estimation contract administration risk assessment and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and on schedule
• You will collaborate closely with project managers engineers and clients to provide accurate cost control and contribute to successful project delivery in the energy sector
• Strong knowledge of cost management, contract law, and procurement processes related to oil and gas projects.
• Ability to prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the oil and gas industry.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency with industry-standard software tools for cost control and project management.
• Professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
