Job Summary
Perform a wide variety of inspection and quality control operations and coordinate activities of inspection team, monitor and review QC related documents, audits, calibration status of measuring instruments, review mill certs, conduct failure analysis, create NCRs, initiate corrective action plans and close NCRs, schedule the necessary training for inspectors.
Primary Responsibilities
- Organize workflow through the inspection dept. liaising with various departments at all levels as and when required to complete tasks (First offs, rework, In-Process audits etc.)
- Review Material test certificates with respect to the PO and Drawing requirements.
- Maintain records for all completed WOs, POs, PRs on OnBase.
- Provide Customer documentation as per request.
- Competent at accessing drawings, specs and procedures using team centre.
- Phosphate unit titration and control phosphate process as per specification requirements.
- Review and control shot peening process as per specification requirements.
- Inspect inward goods including OP/OS, etc. to the relevant drawings and PO requirements.
- Raise NCRs for both in house products, supplier products in JDE and shipping NCRs for the intercompany orders.
- Perform Line, Batch and Final inspection as per NOV procedure and relevant drawing requirements.
- Pass parts off using JDE.
- Assembly parts inspection before beginning assembly.
- Buyout parts certificates review or inspection when deemed needed by Quality Manager.
- Carry out MPI and PT as per drawing or Quality plans.
- Filling all quality documents in proper sequence.
- Comply with NOV HSEQ Policy and Safety Procedures to avoid incidents and accidents.
- Maintain clean and orderly work area.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Calibration and control of Gauges/Instruments using Gauge Pack.
- Raw material MTC review of the inventory parts.
- Inspect first off and do first article inspections of parts as per relevant drawing requirements.
- Plan, prioritize and monitor the performance of team and ensure the commitment of deadlines are met.
- Conducting Failure analysis/Root cause analysis and initiating corrective action plan.

Educational Qualification & Experience Required
Essential
- Diploma / ITI with 6-7 years of Experience in manufacturing.
- Quality control experience in Oil & Gas manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to adapt work processes to demand requirements.
- Proficient in English speaking and writing.
- Microsoft Office Knowledge.
Desirable
- Mechanical or Production Engineers.
- Experience in Welding Inspection & in Bits inspection.
- Exposure to an ERP system.
