Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer focused on facade systems in Dubai to design and run tests ensuring performance and compliance. You will inspect materials, oversee installation quality, and drive corrective actions with cross‑functional teams.

The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency with facade testing methods, and experience interpreting drawings and codes to prevent water ingress and air leakage. International standards knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality engineering focused on facade systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for facade systems.
• Conduct inspections of facade materials/components during manufacturing and installation to ensure compliance.
• Perform structural and weather performance testing on facade assemblies and analyze results.
• Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and site teams to resolve issues.
• Manage and maintain quality documentation including inspection reports and non-conformance reports.
• Implement and monitor on-site quality control procedures and ensure adherence to drawings.
• Investigate root causes of failures and implement corrective actions.
• Use advanced testing equipment for facade performance evaluation (air permeability, water tightness, U-value).

Job description

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases specifically for facade systems, ensuring all functional and performance requirements are met.
• Conduct rigorous inspections of facade materials and components during manufacturing and installation to identify defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Perform structural and weather performance testing on facade assemblies, analyzing results to validate design integrity and prevent water ingress or air leakage.
• Collaborate closely with design engineers, project managers, and site teams to proactively identify and resolve quality issues throughout the facade lifecycle.
• Manage and maintain detailed quality documentation, including inspection reports, test records, and non-conformance reports, ensuring traceability and audit readiness.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures on-site, overseeing installation processes to guarantee adherence to approved drawings and quality standards.
• Investigate root causes of facade failures or performance issues, recommending and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Utilize advanced testing equipment and techniques for facade performance evaluation, such as air permeability, water tightness, and U-value testing.
• Stay abreast of industry standards, building codes, and best practices related to facade engineering and quality assurance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing quality data and providing feedback to enhance future facade designs and construction methods.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Materials Science preferred) or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality engineering, with a strong focus on facade systems, curtain walls, or building envelopes.
• Proven experience in developing and executing test plans for facade components and assemblies.
• Proficiency in interpreting architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and relevant building codes.
• Hands-on experience with facade performance testing methodologies (e.g., ASTM E283, E331, E.
• Strong understanding of facade materials, construction techniques, and potential failure modes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse project teams.
• Relevant certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or industry-specific facade accreditations are highly desirable.
