Job summary

Penta Global Engineering in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Quality Engineer specializing in piping and welding for our Oil & Gas EPC project team. The role focuses on QA/QC activities across fabrication, erection, welding, and installation, ensuring compliance with WPS/PQR, NDT, and inspection procedures.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Oil & Gas / EPC, strong hands-on QA/QC experience in piping and welding, and familiarity with ADNOC and international standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
• 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in Oil & Gas / EPC.
• Strong hands-on experience in Piping and Welding QA/QC.
• Experience with ASME, API, AWS, ISO, and ADNOC standards.
• Oil & Gas / EPC project experience required.

Quality Engineer – Piping & Welding | Oil & Gas / EPC

Experience: 5+ Years

We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer – Piping & Welding to join our Oil & Gas / EPC project team in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor QA/QC activities related to piping fabrication, erection, welding, and installation.
• Review and implement project Quality Plans, ITPs, Method Statements, and inspection procedures.
• Conduct inspections of piping and welding activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, and applicable codes.
• Review WPS, PQR, WPQ/WQT, weld maps, MTCs, NDT reports, and inspection documentation.
• Coordinate with client/consultant inspectors and third-party inspection agencies for required inspections and approvals.
• Monitor welding activities, welder qualifications, fit-up, visual inspection, NDT, hydrotesting, and reinstatement activities.
• Identify quality issues, raise and follow up NCRs, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable ADNOC, ASME, API, AWS, ISO, and project-specific standards.
• Maintain quality records and support preparation of final QA/QC dossiers and handover documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in the Oil & Gas / EPC industry.
• Mandatory: Strong hands-on experience in Piping and Welding QA/QC.
• Strong knowledge of WPS/PQR, Welder Qualification, NDT, Weld Mapping, Fit-up, Visual Inspection, Hydrotesting, and Piping Inspection.
• Experience with relevant ASME, API, AWS, ISO, and ADNOC standards.
• Previous experience on Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or EPC projects is required.
• ADNOC project experience will be an added advantage.
• Strong coordination, reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
