Role Overview

The Quality Director Glass is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and quality control processes related to all glass components used in the production of perfume bottles and packaging. This role ensures that all glass materials meet stringent industry standards regulatory requirements and company specifications to maintain the highest level of product integrity and customer satisfaction. The Quality Director will lead a team of quality professionals collaborate with suppliers and internal departments and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Management & Strategy
  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies specifically for glass materials and components used in perfume packaging.
  • Establish and maintain quality standards policies and procedures aligned with industry best practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead the development of inspection protocols testing methods and sampling plans for raw glass materials finished glass containers and components.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Manage and mentor the Quality Assurance team focused on glass quality including inspectors analysts and quality engineers.
  • Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Supplier Quality Management
  • Evaluate select and audit glass suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards and contractual agreements.
  • Develop strong partnerships with suppliers to resolve quality issues proactively and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee supplier qualification processes and ongoing supplier performance monitoring.
Production Support & Problem Resolution
  • Collaborate with manufacturing product development and supply chain teams to support production processes and ensure quality compliance.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) initiatives for glassrelated quality issues.
  • Monitor key quality metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure all glass products comply with regulatory requirements relevant to the perfume industry.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to quality inspections audits certifications and regulatory submissions.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in glass handling testing and quality control methods.
  • Implement Lean Six Sigma or other quality improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry Materials Science Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in quality management within the glass manufacturing or packaging industry preferably linked to cosmetic goods or perfumes.
  • Proven experience managing supplier quality and leading crossfunctional teams.
  • Indepth knowledge of glass materials manufacturing processes and quality testing techniques.
