Job summary

Majan oversees end-to-end quality control from pre-press to post-press, ensuring timely deliveries with uncompromised quality. You will guide inspection activities, implement quality plans, and address non-conformities with preventive actions.

The role requires leadership in QA, collaboration with production and customers, and ensuring adherence to Majan Quality Plan and SOPs for continuous improvement in printing and packaging quality.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Quality Control in Printing/Packaging industries.
• Experience with ISO-related trainings and quality systems.
• Strong understanding of paper and board quality requirements.
• Familiarity with quality planning, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Ability to lead QA teams and implement defect prevention measures.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Control department from pre-press to post-press ensuring on-time delivery with quality.
• Supervise inspection activities and ensure conformity to customer specs.
• Develop and implement quality plans and SOPs for production operations.

Directly supervise Quality Control activities to determine product conformity to customer specification through effective inspection and test in accordance with the standard Quality SOPs Identify non-conformity and take appropriate action to control prevent them Conducts QA audits as applicable to verify the product is in compliance with customer s specification and Majan s procedures Review setup and establish QC procedures standards for pre operational and post production activities at shop floor

JOB RESPOBSIBILITIES

Leading Quality Control Department for complete operations from pre-press to post-press ensuring timely deliveries with quality Guide Supervise and Participate in inspection activities to assure product quality Implement quality planning for the production to assure compliance through proactive measure Consults with the Plant and Line Managers concerning non-conforming products and respective corrective prevention plan Initiate evaluation for non-conforming products and processes as encountered Liaise with customer representative Purchase Quality and Production Team s Personnel to ensure that quality problems are addressed and technically resolved in line with customer s requirements Appraise product quality in accordance with the Majan Quality Plan Inspection Testing Plan and determine conformity and non-conformity All inspection results need to be documented and if non-conformity exists required documentation shall be raised to establish corrective and preventive actions Provide interpretation of applicable code specifications and customer requirements Any deviation deemed necessary to be raised to the Plant Line Manager Management Verify Quality inspector x27 s effectiveness of their ability job knowledge punctuality and generation of inspection report through periodic competency assessment Exercise proactive approach in prevention of a problem by interface with production Sales team and customer representative on board in conjunction with Line Manager s Ensure adequate coordination and controls including resources are in place with respect to Pre Operational and Post production activities by liaising with relevant parties Conduct internal audits effectively as applicable to assess the effectiveness of Quality System in-placed Responsible for completion of timely QC documentation and ensure that all documents shall be dispatched to relevant personnel Implementing quality standards and maintaining all relevant documents Implementing the Standard Operating Procedure SOP for each production operation Ensuring adherence to quality standards like implementing stringent quality control systems and reduce rejection level Adhering to statutory specifications Organizational standards for the maintenance of quality Effectively analyze and identify the root cause of the complaint at the defects and complete the CAR report Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project success Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues related to design or prepress processes Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure error-free output Conduct regular checks and audits to verify compliance with quality standards Monitor and allocate resources effectively to meet production deadlines and business goals Ensuring the quality and accuracy of printed materials is critical in the printing and packaging industry You are responsible for implementing and maintaining rigorous quality control procedures in production activities This contributes to customer satisfaction minimizes errors and reduces waste thereby enhancing the company x27 s reputation and competitiveness To identify bottlenecks optimizes resource allocation and implements technological advancements to enhance productivity Identify and recommend the adoption of new technologies software and equipment that can improve the company x27 s capabilities enhance print quality and reduce production costs Collaborating closely with customers and sales teams that helps to understand client needs and preferences that contributes to customer loyalty and repeat business which is vital for long-term success Attracting and retaining skilled Quality Control professionals recruiting training and developing a talented team To play a strategic role in implementing eco-friendly solutions and practices This not only aligns with corporate social responsibility but also meets the demands of environmentally conscious customers opening up new market opportunities Create quality control plans for each product line and printing process Conduct regular inspections of raw materials in-process production and finished products Identify and report defects or deviations from quality standards Continuously analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement Collaborate with production teams to implement process enhancements that improve quality and efficiency Maintain detailed records of quality inspections test results and compliance documentation Generate quality reports for management and stakeholders Address customer complaints related to product quality Implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality

• Graduate of any discipline preferably Printing Technology or diploma holder of its equivalent.
• Experience and exposure to the Printing and Packaging Industry.
• Full awareness of the quality aspects of paper and boards is an advantage.
• Attended orientation training and ISO related trainings.
• At least 8 years’ experience in Quality Control.
