About the job and your team

The Quality Control (QC) Engineer for Windows Doors and Facades is responsible for ensuring that all aluminium products including windows, doors and facades comply with the company’s quality standards as well as relevant industry regulations and specifications. This role includes conducting material inspections, testing finished products, managing quality documentation and working closely with manufacturing teams to resolve product quality issues. The QC Engineer also plays a key role in driving process optimization and continuous improvement in the production of aluminium-based systems. This position reports directly to the Quality Control Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and direct activities related to the development and implementation of quality standards for architectural aluminium works in building projects.
  • Support fabricators on-site by conducting inspections and ensuring adherence to quality procedures for systems used in the projects aligning with approved fabrication and installation method statements.
  • Deliver training sessions, workshops and guidance to fabrication teams covering standard fabrication procedures to maintain high-quality output.
  • Develop and maintain documentation including forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data; provide detailed reports following each site visit and training session.
  • Coordinate with consultants and site representatives for inspections and to address any quality-related issues.
  • Conduct material analysis using appropriate tools and software to prepare material lists and fabrication sheets for training and production use.
  • Assist technical and logistics teams with the preparation of materials and documentation required for technical submittals in accordance with the proposed system specifications for each project.
  • Perform any additional tasks or assignments as directed by the Manager.
Your qualifications and skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Alternatively a vocational education in mechanics or a related technical discipline will also be considered.
  • Certifications in quality control (e.g., Six Sigma, CQE) are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in quality control specifically in aluminum fenestration (windows/doors) or façade industries.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS), ISO standards and construction-related regulations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD to read and interpret drawings (drawing creation not required).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience conducting root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of industry standards for windows, doors and facades such as EN 14351‑1, CE marking and energy efficiency standards.
  • Proficient in using quality management software (e.g., SAP, Minitab) and MS Office tools.
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken) are required; proficiency in Arabic is preferred but not essential.
  • Occasional travel to supplier or project sites may be required.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing or production environment which may include exposure to heavy machinery and construction materials.
