About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive QHSE Officer to oversee and continuously improve our Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) systems across our manufacturing site and operations. The successful candidate will promote a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with legislation, maintain ISO standards, and drive continuous improvement in quality, H&S and environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Management
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety (H&S) legislation, policies, and site procedures.
 - Develop and implement H&S system either independently or with minimum supervision.
 - Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, and accident investigations.
 - Deliver H&S inductions, toolbox talks, and training for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
 - Promote proactive safety initiatives and a positive safety culture across all levels.
 
Environmental Management
- Ensure site compliance with environmental legislation and company policy.
 - Monitor, report, and improve environmental performance and KPIs.
 - Support waste management and ensure duty of care is maintained.
 
Quality Management
- Maintain and promote the site Quality Management System (ISO 9001).
 - Coordinate internal and external audits; lead internal audit teams.
 - Ensure awareness of customer quality requirements across departments.
 - Analyze quality data and support problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
 
System & Compliance
- Support the implementation of integrated management systems (QHSE).
 - Ensure documentation, policies, and procedures are up to date and effectively communicated.
 - Report QHSE performance and compliance data to management and corporate teams.
 
Training & Development
- Identify H&S and quality training needs in coordination with HR.
 - Coach and mentor staff to enhance awareness and accountability for QHSE performance.
 
Qualifications & Experience
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety.
 - Environmental qualification (e.g., ISO 14001 Internal Auditor or equivalent).
 - ISO 9001:2015 Lead or Internal Auditor certification.
 - Proven experience in QHSE roles within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
 - Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
 - Proficient in MS Office and QHSE reporting systems.
