Job summary

A recruitment agency in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a dedicated QHSE Officer to join a client in the Facilities and Construction Industry. Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to quality, health, safety, and environmental practices, conducting risk assessments, maintaining safety plans, and promoting a culture of safety. The ideal candidate should be familiar with legislation and industry standards, and will conduct site inspections and deliver training as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of QHSE policies and updates.
  • Ensure quality and safety standards are followed in all contracted works.
  • Maintain safety plans, SOPs, and QHSE reporting systems.
  • Conduct or support risk assessments and safe work methods.
  • Prepare monthly reports and provide input for contract reviews.
  • Act as the main contact for health, safety, and environmental matters.
  • Advise teams and management on standards, best practices, and improvements.
  • Work with managers, clients, and staff to promote a culture of safety.
  • Lead or support investigations of incidents and ensure corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on legislation and industry best practices.
  • Perform site inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Support new contracts with QHSE requirements.
  • Promote safe working practices and risk control methods.
  • Deliver safety and IOSH training as required.

Apt Resources is looking for a dedicated QHSE Officer to join our client’s team in the Facilities and Construction Industry. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring that quality, health, safety, and environmental practices are implemented and adhered to across all projects. Your expertise will contribute to the overall safety culture within the organization, advocating for compliance with local laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of QHSE policies and updates.

  • Lead or support investigations of incidents, hazards, and ensure corrective actions.
