Job summary

Emirates Electrical & Instrumentation Company LLC, Abu Dhabi, requires a QC Inspector with 5–10 years in oil & gas EPC projects. You will verify welds, coatings, and related qualifications, coordinate NDT, witness PWHT and tests, and manage NCRs and as-built documentation.

The role demands reading approved drawings, ITPs and WPS/PQR, ensuring compliance with ASME/API standards, and guiding production teams toward right‑first‑time quality on site. GCC oil & gas experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of QC inspection experience, including oil & gas or EPC projects.
• Valid welding inspection certification such as AWS CWI, CSWIP 3.1/3.2, or BGAS Grade 2/1.
• Valid coating inspection certification such as NACE/AMPP Coating Inspector Level 1/2, FROSIO, or BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspector.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, ITPs, WPS/PQR, and painting/coating procedures before inspection.
• Verify qualifications, continuity records, and certifications for welders.
• Inspect welds, surface prep, coatings, and thickness measurements per standards.
• Coordinate NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT) and review reports.
• Witness PWHT and pressure tests; review heat treatment charts.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, NCRs, and turn-over documentation.
• Provide guidance to welders/painters and promote first‑time quality.
