Job summary

Emirates Electrical & Instrumentation Company LLC is seeking a QC Inspector to support welding, coating, and NDT activities on oil and gas EPC projects in Abu Dhabi. You will review drawings, ITPs, and WPS/PQR, verify weld qualifications and material traceability, and coordinate non-destructive testing with vendors and clients.

The role requires 5–10 years in QC inspection with 3–5 years in oil & gas or EPC contexts, plus certifications in welding and coating inspections.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of QC inspection experience.
• 3–5 years on oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, or EPC projects.
• Valid welding inspection certification (AWS CWI, CSWIP 3.1/3.2, or BGAS Grade 2/1).
• Valid coating inspection certification (NACE/AMPP, FROSIO, or BGAS-CSWIP).

Responsibilities

• Review approved drawings, ITPS, WPS/PQR, and painting/coating procedures before inspection.
• Verify welder qualifications and continuity records before welding.
• Check material identification and traceability against MTCs and specifications.
• Inspect joint fit-up, alignment, cleanliness, bevel, gap, and root opening before welding.
• Monitor welding in progress and verify parameters per WPS.
• Coordinate NDT activities with contractors and review reports.
• Witness PWHT and review heat treatment charts.
• Witness and verify hydrostatic and pneumatic tests with piping/commissioning teams.
• Issue NCRs and close corrective actions; participate in client inspections.
• Prepare inspection reports, checksheets, and final quality dossier.
