The QC Inspector – Painting is responsible for inspecting coating and painting applications to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and safety requirements. This includes monitoring surface preparation, paint thickness, curing times, and adherence to environmental controls. The inspector identifies any defects such as peeling, blistering, or corrosion and collaborates with contractors to implement corrective measures. In addition to on-site inspections, the QC Inspector reviews quality documentation, maintains detailed records, and supports audits to ensure continuous adherence to coating standards. Strong knowledge of painting processes, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are essential to protect asset integrity and prolong equipment lifespan.

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Materials, or related engineering field
  • 3-5 years of coating and painting inspection experience in industrial or oil & gas projects
  • Certification in coating inspection (e.g., NACE Coating Inspector Level 2/3, BGAS, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of international coating standards (SSPC, ISO, ASTM)
