Job summary

Qualifications

• NACE Level 2 certification in coatings inspection.
• 3-5 years direct experience in quality control for industrial coating projects.
• Strong understanding of surface preparation techniques and quality assessment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of coatings and surface preparation on substrates to ensure project specs and industry standards are met.
• Perform coating thickness testing (DFT) and adhesion tests using calibrated instruments, documenting readings.
• Identify non-conformities, defects, or deviations from quality plans with photographic evidence and detailed descriptions.
• Interpret technical drawings and testing procedures to validate work quality.

Conduct thorough inspections of coatings and surface preparation on various substrates ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards
Perform hands-on testing of coating thickness DFT adhesion and surface profile using calibrated instruments meticulously documenting all readings
Identify and report any non-conformities defects or deviations from quality plans providing clear photographic evidence and detailed descriptions
Interpret and apply technical drawings specifications and testing procedures to validate the quality of work performed
Possess a valid NACE Level 2 certification in Coatings Inspection.Have a minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience in quality control for industrial coating projects.Demonstrate a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques (e.g., abrasive blasting, power tool cleaning) and their quality assessment.Proficient in using various coating inspection instruments such as DFT gauges, adhesion testers, and surface profile comparators.
