A leading inspection services company is seeking a QC Inspector – E&I for projects in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering and 5-10 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas projects. Responsibilities include inspecting installation and commissioning of systems, verifying compliance with specifications, and ensuring safety practices during inspections. Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in E&I inspection roles in Oil & Gas projects.

Responsibilities

• Inspect installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Ensure compliance with approved construction drawings, vendor documents, and client specifications.
• Conduct inspections for cable laying, glanding, termination, loop checking, and continuity tests.
• Verify installation of electrical panels, transformers, lighting, grounding, and lightning protection systems.
• Review ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), checklists, and ensure proper documentation.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, construction, commissioning, and client teams.
• Witness functional testing of control systems including DCS, PLCs, ESD, and Fire & Gas systems.
• Ensure safety practices and adherence to PTW (Permit to Work) system during inspections.

Job description

We are looking for a QC Inspector – E&I for one of our clients with the following details:

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE - Site based – Flexible to work on several sites

Expected Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 24 months – extendable based on project requirement

Work Schedule: Working on site will be 8 to 10-hour shifts – 6 days per week

Qualification and Experience Required

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in E&I inspection roles in Oil & Gas projects.

Services Description

• Inspect installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems as per project specifications and international standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, API, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with approved construction drawings, vendor documents, and client specifications.
• Conduct inspections for cable laying, glanding, termination, loop checking, and continuity tests.
• Verify installation of electrical panels, transformers, lighting, grounding, and lightning protection systems.
• Review ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), checklists, and ensure proper documentation of inspection records.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, construction, commissioning, and client teams for punch list clearing and final acceptance.
• Witness functional testing of control systems including DCS, PLCs, ESD, and Fire & Gas systems.
• Ensure safety practices and adherence to PTW (Permit to Work) system during inspections.
