Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Mechanical Quality Inspector. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, verifying materials, and coordinating with clients. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5-7 years of experience, with prior ADNOC approval. Strong communication and multitasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in mechanical quality inspections.
  • Previously approved from ADNOC onshore and offshore jobs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspection of mechanical works such as piping and equipment installation.
  • Verify materials and welding consumables meet specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with project drawings and quality documents.
  • Monitor welder qualifications and ensure adherence to approved WPS.
  • Coordinate with clients for inspections and approvals.

Job description
Job Purpose

Responsible for all Mechanical Quality inspections, carry out the construction activities with approved quality documents and drawings.

Responsible for the preparation of all type WPS, PQR and WQT as per organization and Projects requirement. Maintained Welders records and update all welding work related logs.

Reporting to all site activities on weekly and monthly basis to Lead QA / QC.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct inspection of mechanical works such as piping, structural, static and rotating equipment installation.

Verify materials, welding consumables, and equipment meet approved specifications.

Review and ensure compliance with project drawings, WPS, and ITP requirements.

Witness and record fit-up, welding, dimensional, hydrostatic, and pneumatic tests.

Monitor welder qualifications and ensure adherence to approved WPS.

Coordinate with the client / consultant for inspections and approvals.

Ensure all inspection records, test reports, and quality documents are properly maintained.

Identify and report non-conformances and verify implementation of corrective actions.

Support QA / QC Engineer in maintaining the project quality system.

Participate in internal and external audits when required.
