Specialism: Quality Control / Inspection / HSE

The QC Engineer – Welding is responsible for monitoring and inspecting welding activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and quality standards. This includes reviewing welding procedures, inspecting weld joints, and coordinating non-destructive testing (NDT) to detect defects. The engineer works closely with welding teams and supervisors to enforce quality control measures and resolve any issues promptly. Additionally, the QC Engineer maintains detailed inspection records, supports welding procedure qualifications, and participates in audits to verify adherence to safety and quality requirements. Strong technical expertise in welding processes, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential to maintain structural integrity and project standards.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in reviewing WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications
  • Familiarity with NDT methods and ability to interpret results
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills
