Job summary

Samsung E&A is seeking a QC Engineer with a strong Electrical background to lead quality activities across Oil & Gas projects. You will plan inspections, develop ITPs, and guide inspectors while coordinating with multiple disciplines and clients.

The role requires extensive experience in QA/QC for electrical systems, adherence to NEC/IEC standards, and proven leadership in high-pressure environments. GCC project exposure is preferred; benefits include accommodation and medical insurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering or a relevant field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as QC Engineer on Oil and Gas projects, with core Electrical activities.
• At least 15 years combined experience in QC Engineer and inspector roles.
• Experience in GCC projects and oil/gas/petrochemical or power plants.

Responsibilities

• Establishing ITP and ITP Matrix for inspectors.
• Distributing tasks to discipline inspectors and managing QA/QC staff.
• Implementing quality training and promoting risk management in construction.
• Applying lessons learned and preventive actions; maintaining QA/QC documentation.
• Co-ordinating with other disciplines for corrective actions; liaising with clients on quality matters.

Job Description

Job Summary

• Responsible for planning quality activities in given particular discipline in accordance with quality management system established by QC Manager.
• Planning, controlling and performing inspections and tests on discipline responsible and managing inspectors in the disciplines for which they are responsible

Roles and Responsibilities

• Establishing Inspection Test Plan(ITP) and ITP Matrix for Inspector to control the Inspection Work
• Distributing task to inspectors in charge of the discipline
• Implementing the Quality Training to Construction & Quality Staffs
• Promoting Risk Management System in Construction and suggesting countermeasures
• Ensuring to apply lessons learnt and proper preventive action conducted
• Setting and applying practical work process
• Preparing Quality Procedure/ITP, Review Construction Procedure/Method Statement
• Establishing Quality Performance Indicator and managing actual result
• Co-ordinating and monitoring with other discipline required to provide corrective action
• Liaising and solving with clients on Quality related matters such as Quality Issue and NCR, Observation
• Managing work activity through system management tool (FMCS, SCMS)
• Identifying and mitigate quality risks
• Conducting audits and inspections
• Assembling cost control and statistical data in support of quality objectives, as needed

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering or relevant field

Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of Experience as QC Engineer role within Oil and Gas projects, core in Electrical activities
• At least 15 years of combined experience in both QC Engineer and inspector roles.
• Familiarity with project specifications and standards, and medium to large-sized project experience
• Experience in oil / gas / petrochemical or power plants
• Engineering & Construction Company working experience in GCC

Knowledge or Certification

• Preferable certifications in COMPEX or TEX
• ISO Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certifications

Technical and Behavioral Competency

• Expert knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Advanced inspection techniques and tools, material testing methods, and documentation
• Understanding of project management principles.
• Expertise in establishing process and system to utilize FMCS and SCMS
• Leadership and management skills
• Ability to manage and motivate a team
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
• Ability to work under pressure.
