Job summary

MENA-Water is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to plan and direct quality control programs in our water treatment projects. You will develop inspection standards, conduct audits, and work with project teams to resolve quality issues, ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a Mechanical/Industrial Engineering background, ISO audit familiarity, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement in QA processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial) required.
• Quality control related certification preferred.
• Internal/Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 & 45001:2018

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and direct quality control programs per standards.
• Develop standards for inspection and tests on procedures.
• Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with specs and regs.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers and techs to resolve quality issues.
• Manage equipment handling and hazardous materials storage; perform audits.
• Analyze products and non-conformances; prepare monthly performance reports.
• Discuss inspection results and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate and perform internal/external audits.
• Support Welding and NDT qualification and test activities.
• Maintain QA standards and drive continuous improvement actions.
• Participate in audits, reviews, and ISO certifications.
• Stay updated on water treatment QA trends and regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and direct quality control programs as per standards.
• Develop and determine all standards to perform inspection and tests on all procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians to identify and resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
• Manage to lift all types of equipment, handle efficient storage of all hazardous materials, and perform quality audits per the required schedule.
• Analyze all products and non-conformance processes, evaluate all documents to ensure maintenance of optimal quality, and prepare monthly reports to evaluate performance.
• Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products, and recommend necessary corrective actions.
• Coordinate, implement and perform all the internal/external audits.
• Supports the Welding & Non-Destructive Test-NDT qualification and test activities.
• Manage all work methods and maintain knowledge on all quality assurance standards and monitor continuous application for all quality assurance processes and recommend corrective actions for all processes.
• Participate in internal and external audits, reviews, and certifications to maintain compliance with ISO and other quality management systems.
• Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and regulations related to water treatment quality assurance and quality control.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required (Mechanical/Industrial).
• Quality control related certification (preferable).
• Internal/Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 & 45001:2018
