Job summary

A reputable engineering firm in the UAE seeks a QA/QC Supervisor to oversee quality assurance and control activities in mechanical works. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and have 7–10 years of experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector. Strong knowledge of quality standards and leadership skills are essential for this role. Compliance with HSE policies is a must.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years’ QA/QC experience in Oil & Gas.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, API, AWS, ASTM, ISO 9001.
• Certifications (CSWIP / AWS-CWI / API / ASNT Level II) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise QA/QC activities for all mechanical works.
• Ensure compliance with ITPs, method statements, quality plans.
• Review drawings and client requirements to maintain quality.
• Conduct inspections and material verification.
• Monitor welding procedures and ensure code compliance.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation and records.
• Coordinate with site teams and client representatives.
• Ensure corrective actions for non-conformities.
• Promote compliance with HSE policies.

Job description

• Supervise QA/QC activities for all mechanical works (piping, welding, fabrication, erection, hydro-testing).
• Ensure compliance with ITPs, method statements, quality plans, and project specifications.
• Review drawings, standards, and client requirements to maintain work quality.
• Conduct and witness inspections, NDT, and material verification (MTCs, traceability, calibration).
• Monitor welding procedures (WPS/PQR/WPQ) and ensure weld quality as per codes.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation (reports, NCRs, site instructions, quality records).
• Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and client representatives for inspection approvals.
• Ensure corrective/preventive actions for non-conformities.
• Promote compliance with HSE policies in all QA/QC operations.

Skills
