Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a QA/QC Manager to support the Owner’s Engineer team on the Fujairah IWP project. You will oversee quality assurance and control for design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning, and ensure close-out deliverables meet EPC contract and project standards.

You will review quality plans and test procedures, coordinate with site teams, track non-conformities and corrective actions, and contribute to lessons learned and project handover from a quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 15–20 years of experience in large industrial or infrastructure projects.
• At least 5 years as QA/QC Manager or similar leadership role.
• Experience in SWRO desalination or large-scale water treatment projects.
• Middle East/UAE project experience; knowledge of desalination processes.
• Proficiency with project planning tools (Primavera P6, MS Project).
• PMP or NEBOSH certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review EPC Contractor quality management arrangements across design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning activities.
• Comment on project quality plans, ITPs, method statements, procedures, and submittals.
• Coordinate with site team to monitor construction quality, inspections, testing and punch closure.
• Identify non-conformities and track corrective actions to close-out.
• Review quality records, inspection/test reports and handover documentation.
• Maintain QA/QC records and monthly reporting inputs.
• Coordinate with discipline engineers, HSE, document control and EPC to implement quality requirements.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, codes and procedures.
• Participate in site, quality and progress meetings, follow up QA/QC actions.
• Support readiness reviews for pre-commissioning, commissioning and handover.
• Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement.
