A leading engineering firm in the UAE seeks a qualified QA / QC Engineer Coordinator to oversee quality assurance activities. Ideal candidates will have at least 10 years of experience in major Oil & Gas projects, strong coordination skills, and a degree in Engineering. Responsibilities include monitoring QA / QC documentation, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in QA / QC roles within major Oil & Gas projects.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques (e.g., CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2, AWS-CWI, ASNT Level II) advantageous.
  • Thorough understanding of international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all QA / QC activities related to project phases.
  • Monitor and ensure implementation of ITPs and QA / QC documentation.
  • Prepare and submit daily / weekly / monthly QA / QC reports.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.

Job description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced QA / QC Engineer Coordinator to oversee and coordinate all quality assurance and quality control activities across the project. The role requires strong technical knowledge of QA / QC procedures, excellent coordination capabilities, and the ability to effectively interface with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with all applicable standards and project specifications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate all QA / QC activities related to engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Project Quality Plan and related procedures.
  • Interface with client QA / QC representatives to address quality concerns and ensure compliance.
  • Monitor and ensure implementation of ITPs, method statements, and QA / QC documentation requirements.
  • Track and report quality performance indicators and coordinate NCRs, CARs, and preventive actions.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
  • Manage the flow and control of QA / QC documentation, including inspection reports, material traceability, and certifications.
  • Ensure QA / QC teams are aligned with project timelines and deliverables.
  • Prepare and submit daily / weekly / monthly QA / QC coordination reports to senior management.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in QA / QC roles within major Oil & Gas projects, including coordination roles.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques and certifications (e.g., CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2, AWS-CWI, ASNT Level II) is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to coordinate across disciplines and manage QA / QC activities effectively.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Thorough understanding of international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO) (Preferred).
  • Experience working with EPC contractors or in multi-disciplinary project environments(Preferred).
  • Proficiency in QA / QC software or document management systems (Preferred).
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills(Preferred).
