JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer with strong hands‑on expertise in boiler, HRSG, and pressure vessel fabrication, repair, and installation. The selected candidate will support both workshop and project operations, ensuring full compliance with project specifications, client expectations, and applicable ASME/ISO code requirements. While the role is primarily Quality Control focused, it will also support QA activities when required.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Review project specifications and develop QC documentation such as ITPs, weld maps, and method statements.
- Plan, coordinate, and carry out inspections covering material verification, fabrication, fit‑up, welding, NDE, and final acceptance.
- Conduct receiving inspections and ensure complete material traceability throughout fabrication and assembly.
- Oversee WPS and PQR qualification activities and manage welder qualifications, continuity, and performance/repair‑rate monitoring.
- Maintain weld traceability, welding summaries, NDE status, and fabrication inspection records in line with project and code requirements.
- Review test reports, maintain documentation accuracy, and prepare final quality dossiers for project handover.
- Support internal audits and the closeout of CAR/PAR and CAPA actions.
- Coordinate with third‑party inspectors and supervise QC Inspectors to ensure compliance with standards and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 10 years of QC‑focused experience in pressure vessel, boiler, or HRSG fabrication and repair.
JOB‑SPECIFIC SKILLS
- Proven hands‑on experience with:
- ASME Section VIII Division 1 & Division 2 pressure vessel fabrication.
- ASME Section I boiler or HRSG construction, repair, and inspection.
- Experience working with an ASME‑authorized boiler or pressure vessel manufacturer.
- Successful participation in projects requiring NBIC “R” Stamp repairs (indicate number of projects).
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, WPS/PQR qualification, welder performance evaluation, materials, and NDE methods.
- Strong understanding of ASME BPVC, ISO standards, and traceability requirements.
- Experience working with ADNOC or Saudi Aramco as an approved QC Engineer/Inspector (preferred).
GENERAL SKILLS
- Strong documentation, inspection, coordination, and communication skills.
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
- UAE driving license is an advantage.
