Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Specialist to implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) for various projects. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a supervision consultant environment. The role requires strong knowledge of construction inspections and ISO compliance, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to identify quality issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in QA/QC within a Supervision Consultant environment.
• Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
• Experience in reviewing and approving contractor submittals.

Job Responsibilities

Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with project specifications, standards, and ISO 9001 requirements.

• Review, assess, and approve contractor submittals, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and material approvals.
• Monitor and witness inspections and tests of construction works to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct regular site quality inspections and audits to verify adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Identify quality issues, non-conformances, and deviations, and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare and maintain quality reports, records, and documentation for all QA / QC activities.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure proper quality control practices are implemented.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits and ensure timely resolution of findings.
• Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement across the project.

Key Qualification

Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant discipline).

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in QA / QC within a Supervision Consultant environment.
• Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
