Job summary

Software Engineer - QA Performance Testing in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced performance engineer to design, implement, and execute end-to-end performance testing strategies for banking platforms, mobile/web apps, and APIs. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Performance Engineering and Non-Functional Testing.
• Proven ability to design and execute NFRs including response time, throughput and scalability.
• Experience testing high-volume banking, payments, onboarding and corporate banking platforms.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures on Azure and AWS.
• Hands-on with JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, Gatling, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute performance testing strategies for digital banking applications, mobile banking, internet banking, APIs, and microservices.
• Define and validate NFRs including response time, throughput, scalability, concurrency, availability, and resilience.
• Develop performance test scripts and workloads using JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, or equivalent tools.
• Execute load, stress, spike, endurance, failover, and capacity testing across applications and APIs.
• Analyze performance bottlenecks across UI, API Gateway, microservices, middleware, databases, and infrastructure.
• Monitor applications using observability and APM tools to identify root causes of degradation.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, and database teams to optimize platform performance.
• Validate performance of mobile banking, online banking journeys, payments, and corporate services under peak load.
• Produce detailed performance reports, recommendations, and executive summaries for release approvals.
• Support capacity planning, volumetric modelling, and performance benchmarking activities.
