Job summary

NodeShift is seeking a QA Engineer to join a fast-growing AI infrastructure startup with offices in Abu Dhabi and Doha. You will create automated testing processes, focus on quality, security, and velocity, and work with top engineers to ensure robust platforms for government and enterprise clients.

The role emphasizes test development for UI and APIs, automation within CI/CD, and building scalable testing solutions across a distributed cloud environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of quality engineering experience focused on testing complex platforms and APIs, with a strong emphasis on UI projects.
• Software engineering background: ability to read/understand and develop testing solutions in multiple programming languages.
• Broad experience testing REST APIs and UI components.
• Proficient in TypeScript for test automation and familiar with automation frameworks like Playwright.
• Includes test planning, test design, execution, performance and stress testing, and maintaining automated tests.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute automated testing suites for UI Platform and APIs to ensure functional correctness, performance, and security.
• Identify, reproduce, and report bugs and vulnerabilities and guide testing objectives with dev/infrastructure teams.
• Create and maintain an automation framework and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality.
• Develop performance testing to benchmark and improve system responsiveness and scalability.
• Extend quality metrics and monitoring for production systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align testing with business goals and share best practices.
