Job summary

Petrofac is seeking a QA Engineer to lead and support the Integrated Management System across our EPC oil & gas projects. You will manage IMS documentation, ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, and coordinate internal and external audits.

The role requires strong auditing experience, knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015, 45001:2018, and the ability to drive continual improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Lead Auditor certs preferred, ISO 9001:2015 mandatory.
• Experience with IMS in EPC oil & gas and audit reporting expected.

Responsibilities

• Implement IMS effectively and support audits of the system.
• Manage day-to-day IMS activities and ensure customer/regulatory compliance.
• Draft and distribute IMS documentation; maintain document control.
• Establish internal and external IMS audit plans and perform audits.
• Prepare audit questionnaires and track corrective actions to closure.
• Lead management reviews and coordinate with certifying bodies.

JOB TITLE: QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for the effective implementation of Integrated Management system; he shall assist corporate Senior QA Engineer in the preparation, revision, distribution, and implementation of IMS Manual & Procedures.
• Manage the day-to-day activities of the Quality management system as required by procedures and ensure communication and awareness of customer requirements as well as the legal and regulatory requirements throughout the organization.
• Drafts, maintains and distributes Integrated Management Systems documentation and administers the continual review of the system.
• Establish and monitor the IMS document and data control system.
• Establish the internal IMS audit plan and carry out internal audits.
• Establish the Project IMS audit plan and carry out internal audits as applicable.
• Establish the plan and carry out external audits as applicable.
• Assist with audit questionnaire preparation using the prepared templates.
• Initiate follow-up audit activities in order to verify and record the implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive action taken.
• Report the results of internal audits, corrective and preventive actions and carry out analysis of effectiveness of the IMS and present to the management.
• Maintaining & updating of codes & standards library including control of issue & return.
• Handle Pre-qualification/external audits by customer.
• Assist corporate Senior QA Engineer/QA Manager to carry out IMS Management review of the Management system.
• Coordinate with certifying authority for renewals and re-certification of management systems in coordination with certifying bodies (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001).

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical, or a comparable engineering discipline.
• Certified Lead Auditor in ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 is preferred, ISO 9001 : 2015 is mandatory.

Experience

• At least 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Integrated Management Systems (IMS), or Corporate Quality in the EPC oil & gas industry.
• At least 5 years of experience planning, leading, and reporting on internal and external management system audits.
• Prior experience with a major EPC contractor in a corporate or regional Quality Assurance role.
• Strong working knowledge of, and practical application of, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 management system standards.
• Solid understanding of the EPC project lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project delivery processes.
• Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, risk based thinking, process improvement, and organizational governance.
• Experience developing corporate procedures, standards, KPIs, quality dashboards, and performance reporting.
