Yosh in Abu Dhabi is seeking a diligent Public Area Attendant to keep lobbies, corridors and shared spaces clean to the highest standards. You will follow schedules, use cleaning equipment safely, and coordinate with team members to deliver a welcoming environment for guests.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifikationen

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public areas, including lobbies, corridors, lifts, reception areas, washrooms, staircases, meeting spaces, and other designated facilities, to the required standards.
• Complete scheduled cleaning tasks and respond promptly to requests for additional cleaning or assistance.
• Clean, sanitise, and replenish public washrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, bins, soap, toilet paper, and other supplies.
• Keep entrances, reception areas, floors, furniture, fixtures, glass, and other surfaces clean, tidy, and presentable throughout each shift.
• Check public areas regularly and remove litter, spills, marks, fingerprints, and other visible dirt or hazards.
• Use cleaning products, tools, and equipment safely and in accordance with product instructions and company procedures.
• Follow cleaning schedules, methods, hygiene requirements, and quality standards, completing all assigned duties within the required timeframes.
• Place warning signs around wet floors and other hazards, and take appropriate steps to protect guests, colleagues, and visitors during cleaning.
• Report maintenance issues, damage, safety hazards, pest concerns, lost property, and incidents promptly to the appropriate manager.
• Handle and store cleaning chemicals correctly, following COSHH requirements, safety instructions, and personal protective equipment (PPE) procedures.
• Maintain cleaning cupboards, trolleys, equipment, and supply areas in a clean, organised, and secure condition.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and amenities, and report low stock or replenishment requirements to the supervisor or manager.
• Use equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor-cleaning machines, and other cleaning tools safely and responsibly.
• Respect guest privacy and belongings, and follow procedures for lost property, confidential information, and restricted areas.
• Respond courteously to guest and colleague requests, providing helpful assistance or directing enquiries to the appropriate team member.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, reception, maintenance, and other departments to support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
• Complete cleaning checklists and other required records accurately, and report completed tasks or outstanding issues as required.
• Follow all health and safety, fire safety, manual handling, infection prevention, emergency, and security procedures.
• Perform other relevant cleaning and housekeeping duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a public area attendant, cleaner, housekeeping, or similar role is desirable; training may be provided.
• Good understanding of cleaning methods, hygiene standards, and the safe use of cleaning products and equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions, cleaning schedules, checklists, and health and safety procedures accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a courteous and helpful approach to guests, visitors, and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, organise tasks, and respond effectively to changing priorities.
• Reliable, punctual, trustworthy, and committed to maintaining a professional appearance and positive service standards.
• Awareness of workplace hazards and the ability to report spills, damage, maintenance issues, and unsafe conditions promptly.
• Ability to handle cleaning products and equipment safely and use PPE in accordance with training and procedures.
• Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods and bend, reach, push, pull, and lift cleaning supplies or equipment as required.
• Flexible to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays, in line with business requirements.
